Según un reciente informe titulado "El Mercado Submarino Global" publicado por ICD Research, en la próxima década hasta 2021 se comprarán un total de 154 submarinos con un coste estimado de más de 180.000 millones USD. Además, explica que actualmente muchas naciones están procurando modernizar o actualizar sus flotas debido a la cambiante situación de la seguridad global. Esto ofrece una gran oportunidad, no solo para los fabricantes de defensa submarina, sino también para la tecnología impulsada por la necesidad de mantenerse al día con estos entornos tan cambiantes.
