The naval forces have decisively shifted towards submarine deployment and largely these deployments are happening in the tropical littoral waters of the Indo-Pacific strategic space. The effective deployment has two major components - detection capabilities and the vulnerability of its own platform. The tool should dynamically prioritize the detection or vulnerability based on mission requirement and platform type (conventional vs strategic submarines). The real-time passive sonar deployment tool will provide a comprehensive solution to this complex problem. It is based on signal processing & underwater channel modelling algorithms with precise underwater radiated noise computation for real-time detection & vulnerability assessment.
