Dr. David Powell

David obtained a degree in electrical engineering and a PhD in electrical motor design at the University of Sheffield in 1997 and 2003 respectively. He subsequently headed the Rolls Royce Technology centre where he specialised in designing and deploying highly integrated electrical machine systems into aerospace. Following this he joined Magnomatics and has led many of their developments of embedded electrical drive systems, including in undersea, aerospace, down-well and other aggressive and high temperature environments
