Assistant Professor Lech Rowinski

Granted MSc degree (Naval Architect)in 1974, PhD in 1981 and  DSc 1993 (System Design). Professor of Gdansk University of Technology. Active in academic duties, headed several projects devoted to underwater technology both for civilian and military application. The most significant are: the  manned submersible for fishery research, the submersible life saving capsule for drilling rigs, the Ukwial ROV mine neutralization system, the Gluptak single shot mine neutralization system and the Albatros reconnaissance AUV. These were supplemented by projects for aquaculture, marine resources recovery and underwater tourism such as Water Discus underwater accommodation.
