Dr Loredana Bellantuono
Loredana Bellantuono is a PostDoc fellow in Applied Physics at the University of Bari. Her current research interests are in the application of machine learning techniques to audio signal analysis and classification. She obtained a PhD in Theoretical High-Energy Physics at University of Bari in 2017, investigating open problems in Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) with analytical and numerical techniques based on the holographic correspondence. In particular, she developed algorithms for the numerical solution of differential equations, describing the time evolution of strongly interacting plasmas. After doctorate, she spent a seven-month period as a visiting scientist at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, funded by an Angelo Della Riccia fellowship, awarded on an Italian national basis. She is co-author of 5 papers published on international peer-reviewed journals and 7 conference papers, 4 of which single-authored.
