Rear Admiral Odd Werin
Rear Admiral Odd Werin assumed the position as Director Naval Systems within Systems and Production Management Division at FMV September 2016. Before that he was the Military Representative of Sweden to the EU and NATO 2013-2016 in Brussels. He served as Director Plans of the Swedish Armed Forces 2010-2013. At the same time he also served as the Swedish representative to the Military Coordination Committee in NORDEFCO.
He graduated as a Naval Officer 1981. During his see tour, altogether 15 years, he mainly served on board different types of Surface Combatants as well as in different Surface Warfare staff positions. He was commanding officer of the FPB HMS Styrbjörn and later the corvette HMS Malmö. He graduated from the Advanced Command Course at the Swedish National Defence College with a degree in Electronic Warfare which followed by the position as commanding officer of 31.st Corvette Squadron and later as commander 2nd Surface Warfare Flotilla. There between he served two years in the NATO Partnership Coordination Cell in Mons, Belgium. The sea tour was followed by positions as Head of Joint Forces Naval Development Department and Head of Naval Training and Procurement Department in the Armed Forces HQ. In 2006, he was appointed Commander Maritime Tactical Command, at the same time he was promoted to Rear Admiral (LH) followed 2007 as Deputy Commander of MCC. Promoted to Rear Admiral on 1 October 2010 he began as Director Plans in the HQ of the Swedish Armed Forces.He is a member of both the Royal Academy of Naval Science and the Royal Academy of War Sciences and he was chairman of Viking Roost, the Swedish Chapter of AOC, 2003-2006.
