Mr Richard Cooke

Richard is the Chief Engineer for Submarine Systems Division at Atlas Elektronik UK. For the last 23 years he has been the driving force behind the research, development, design, and delivery of electric actuation systems for AEUK. In addition to a range of other submarine and surface ship systems, Richard has overseen the delivery of 8 production electric drive systems and 2 submarine fitted demonstrator systems across 5 classes of platform. With 11 in-house bespoke submersible electric motor designs and 4 generations of drive architecture delivered, Richard is AEUK’s leading expert in electric actuation systems.
