UDT 2021 will take place at HanseMesse Rostock, located 8km from the city centre. The venue is accessible by public transport, with connections to major transport hubs and landmarks across the city. To help plan your visit, use the information below.

International Travel
Rostock–Laage Airport (RGL) is located 30 minutes from the venue and city centre. The airport is served by Lufthansa. Most international destinations connect via Munich (MUC).
Other nearby airports include Hamburg (HAM) (152 km) and Berlin (TXL) (166 km). For long-haul visitors, there are high-speed trains to transfer you from these hubs to Rostock.
Scandinavian visitors
A direct, daily ferry service operates between Rostock and Gedser (Denmark) and Trelleborg (Sweden).

Local Transport
If you are travelling directly from the airport, HanseMesse is a 30 minute drive away.
Buses, trains, and ferries make up the Rostock transport network. Day tickets cost €5.20.
HanseMesse Rostock is also accessible from Lütten Klein train station, which connects to the commuter railway system via the main Rostock station (Rostock Hauptbahnhof).

Visiting Rostock
Rostock is a large port city famed for being home to one of the oldest universities in the world. It attracts visitors with almost a millennia of intriguing history, an appealing white-sand beach and a picture-perfect harbor.
Once a significant Hanseatic trading city during the 13th century, the city features historical places of interest including St. Mary's Church, the Cultural History Museum and the Old Town wall and gates, just to name a few.
Home to the German Naval Headquarters, Rostock is a fitting host for the 2021 edition of UDT.
