UDT will take place at Rotterdam Ahoy in Rotterdam, the home of the largest port in Europe and location of the Netherlands Marine Corps' Marine Education Centre. The venue is easily accessible by public transport and is just a 9 minutes drive to the city centre. Rotterdam The Hague Airport, the city's very own international airport is located 17 minutes from the venue. The airport is served by British Airways and six other carriers including the budget-friendly Coredon and Pegasus airlines. Overall, offering direct flights to over 50 European destinations.

Other nearby airports include Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS) (72 km) and Brussels Airport (BRU) (166 km), Europe's 24th busiest airport.

Local Transport

Local Transport

The venue easily accessible by bus, metro and train. Located just off the motorway, the Zuidplein metro and bus stop are a 5-minute walk to Ahoy and Rotterdam. You can also get an OV-Chipkaart, an economic ticket for public transport across the Netherlands for as little as €20.  

Rotterdam Ahoy is also reachable from the Langenhorst (19 minutes walk) and Brielselaan (23 minutes walk) train stations.

Visiting Rotterdam

Rotterdam, is one of the Netherlands' top destinations for innovation and tourism. With several feathers to its cap, the city has the largest port in Europe, sophisticated shopping options, breathtaking architecture, museums among other local attractions.

The city features several places of interest including Museum Boijmans van Beuningen, Van Nelle Fabriek (a world heritage site), the gravity-defying Cube house, Eramus bridge and Rotterdam's market hall, just to name a few.Location of the Netherlands Marine Corps' Marine education centre, Rotterdam is a fitting host for the 2022 edition of UDT.
