As well as achieving a 9.5% year-on-year rise in attendee numbers, we were thrilled to see so many participants complete our UDT 2019 satisfaction survey. The response rate more than doubled compared to 2018, providing more comprehensive feedback for us to learn from. Thank you to everyone who took part. Survey findings

Strong local engagement
UDT returned to Stockholm for the first time since 2003. A core reason behind the event's geographical rotation is to engage with military and government officials in different regions. Outstanding local support from the Swedish Armed Forces and Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) was reflected by significantly enhanced military representation and an impressive 32% of the total audience attributed to the host nation.

More people, more value
Our ongoing focus is to add value for exhibitors and visitors alike by delivering high quality, relevant content. This approach attracted a wealth of influential delegates to attend the event this year, and yielded fruitful interactions with exhibitors. 94% of organisations ranked attending UDT as an "important" annual activity for their business, providing a dedicated arena to meet and nurture key prospects.
Unrivalled elsewhere
And we plan to keep it that way...
Your feedback affirmed our belief that UDT offers the most valuable and effective event platform for stakeholders across the underwater defence and security domains. That said, there is still scope for improvement. As our attention turns to UDT 2021 in Rostock, we have listened to your comments and you can expect a revised networking event format, a simpler registration process and more readily-available conference materials.
